Reverend Tomeca L. Richardson
A native of Fort Worth, Rev. Tomeca Richardson is regarded as one of the most powerful and engaging preachers and writers today. She is a dynamic motivational speaker encouraging to young and old alike. Rev. T; as she is affectionately called by many, has engaged in numerous writing projects for over 20 years.
Notable among these projects was her role as a writing instructor to women in a local federal corrections facility. Her program was selected as “Program of the Year” four consecutive years and she shared her gift with hundreds over the seven years she served as a volunteer. This award-winning writing program resulted in five publications which includes a variety of well written, reflective and creative literary pieces. She has been a local judge for oratory, language arts, and spelling bee competitions within the Fort Worth I.S.D. Her love for God and her gift of writing was intracule to her call to her first sermon at age of 14. She is has also written a very transformative book entitled Hoochie to Holy: the Process to Sanctification and has recorded a soul stirring CD entitled Spicy. She received her undergraduate degree from Paul Quinn College and her Master’s degree from Brite Divinity School at TCU. Her pastoral ministry began at Alliance of Faith in Ennis, St. Andrews in Coriscana, and she currently serves both McMillan and Morningside congregations in Fort Worth. Her favorite scripture is I John 5:14-15 which declares, “and this is the confidence we have in Him that whatsoever we ask according to His will, He hears us and if we know that He hears us then we shall have whatsoever we ask of Him.” |
